Can you clear recent files from Files app on IOS 12?

I want to be able to not see all of my recently opened files on IOS 12 in the Files app. Is this possible? Thanks

Do you not see a delete option when you select files?

Yes but that deletes the whole file too! Thank you!

It seems this is not an option (yet).
And frankly, I didn’t even realize there was a recents tab in the Files app.

Hopefully sometime in the near future Apple will make this possible.
