Can you call +911 or911+ on a locked iphone?

So when the iphone is locked and you hit the "emergency" button on the bottom left hand corner, if you type: "+911" or "911+" with the plus sign, is that considered an emergency call? I know that #911 and *911 will call but I'm just wondering if +911 does the same thing. I'm not thinking of trying this I just want to know if exactly the plus sign does anything.

If you have to call emergency services, your best bet would be not to play around with asterisk, hashtags and pluses. Just hit the emergency button and call them.
