Can you block a group message that you don't want to be a part of, on the iphone 5c?

I am receiving a group message that I would prefer to not receive anymore. Is there a way to block these messages from coming to my phone? I've tried to look on my settings and can't find anywhere to do this. There's got to be some secret passage way to getting to this point. Or how can I delete my own number from the list so I don't receive these messages anymore? Any ideas?
