Can my iPhone download things from the Internet without my permission?

Can iPhone download things from websites without us noticing? Sorry, still new to Apple. Worried because back when I used android stuff like this happens. Thanks.

What things are you referring to? Smartphones download things in the background all of the time. That being said, Apple does a really great job making sure that our personal information stays safe. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
