Can iPhone 7 Plus with 256gb Replace Video Camcorder?

I plan to purchase an iphone 7 plus, but I feel confused about how to make a decision on it.

Is it possible to use an iphone 7 plus (256GB) in place of the video cancorder to travel to shoot movies and photos? Does iphone 7 plus have USB slot to transfer files? Can I upgrade the memory of iphone 7 plus from 256GB to 512GB? Thank you.

Welcome to iMore! The iPhone 7 Plus takes phenomenal photos and videos so I'm sure you'd be quite happy unless you're used to shooting with expensive, professional grade equipment. It does not have a USB slot and the memory cannot be upgraded.

I've been using it as such. It works great, except that it lacks a telephoto mode, and the flash is only good for a limited range. Other than that, you probably couldn't notice the difference between the 7 Plus and a consumer grade recorder.
