Can I use my Wii controller on the Apple TV to play games?

I would like to use my Wii controller to play games on the Apple TV. Is this possible? Or is there a special controller that I have to buy?

Maybe! Does it support MFi? Also note NOT all of the games support 3rd party controllers.

I think joystick steelseries nimbus is the best controller for you in this case.

what is the point. Most games from Wii will eventually migrate to Apple TV and, if app supports, you can use your iPhone as controller

I think the Wii and other 3rd party controllers are a bit more sophisticated and better suited to the serious game player. Casual gamers may indeed be fine with either their phones OR with the siri remote that comes with the system, BUT serious gamers are going to want a game controller.
