Can I upgrade my iPhone without changing my phone plan?

I was told by Rogers that I could go and buy a new iPhone and then use the sim card I have and keep my old plan????? I do not want to change my plan. Anyone know if that is true???

Well if your current SIM card is a nano SIM card then I see no reason why you could not just swap phones, plans are locked to the SIM card and not to the device you are using.
