Can I unlock a Verizon iPhone 4 and use it with T-mobile?

This is my first iPhone, and I purchased it from a friend's friend. It's carrier is Verizon and it's saying I have coverage, but I don't ._. Lol.

So my question would be, Can I still put service on this Phone with a new Verizon plan,I've never used Verizon, or can I unlock it to use in my current provider T-Mobile?

-Thanks if you can help👌😁

To confirm, you have an iPhone 4, not a 4s. If that is the case then the answer is no, you cannot use that phone on T-Mobile. The phone you bought is CDMA (Verizon) only, and your current provider is GSM (T-Mobile). The two are not compatible. You'll either need the correct model of phone for your provider, or you'll need to switch carriers to Verizon to use the phone you bought.

If it's a Verizon iPhone 4 and it's not been reported lost or stolen or otherwise been blocked (such as for non-payment), then yes, it can be used on a new Verizon account.

It cannot, as indicated above, be used on TMobile.
