can i factory unlock my iphone 4s?

i currently have a iphone 4s , came from canada and the old carrier is FIDO but the contract is done,, my cousin give me her phone im from philippines can i unlock my phone when im in philippines?

Your cousin would have to deal with the carrier and get it unlocked.

It is possible but would be harder and more expensive, you should call fido and get the unlock code explain to them your contract is already expired.or bring it to the phone places in the malls in Canada they can do it as well. A fido unlock should be around 50-60 cad to unlock. Then you would be able to use it I the Philippines .
