Can I create an album with the search results in the photo app?

iPhone allows me to do photo searches - for example a search for "cats" brings up 1400 photos. Is there a way to get all these photos in an album called "Cats"?

Not that I know of but this is a really cool idea. Following this thread to see if someone else knows how.

After performing a search you can tap 'select' on the upper right and select which photos you want to add to a folder of your choosing or a new folder.

Is there a way to select all 1400 cat images at once and move them over to an album? Rather than to select the 1400 images individually?

You don't have to select them individually. Simply put your finger on one and slide down. You can skip photos if you wish and continue with the ones you want.

Go to photos, tap the + in the upper left corner.

Then add the title and hit Save:

Then either tap the photos you choose or slide your finger across them to mark those to include in the album.

Perhaps I was not clear enough about what I am trying to do.
I will try and explain:
I have 33 000 photos in "ALL PHOTOS".
When I do a search for "cats", I get 1 400 photos in the results.
These 1 400 photos are scattered amongst the 33 000 other photos.
I am looking for a simple/easy/non-tedious way to create an album of the search result for "cats".

Perform the search and select those 1400 photos as I suggested before and add them to a folder of your choosing or to one you can create in the prompt.
You can easily select all 1400 photos with sliding your finger down on them.
