Can I bring an American iPhone 5S back to France?

Hi,

I'm french and I'm in America for a few months.
I'd like to buy an iPhone 5s already used on eBay, an unlocked and GSM one.
I just wanna make sure i't's gonna work when I'll be back to France. My french operator is named Bouygues Telecom.
Is there possibilities that I got some problems?

back in 2010 I brought an iPhone 3GS from a Apple Store in asia hong kong and when I comes to UK it don't work with any UK sim , the UK mobile board and company told me the phone is regional locked or something like that ,

2015 I ask Apple Store UK staff if I brought an iPhone 6 plus in UK Apple Store would it work in America , Europe , Asia , the Apple Store staff told me yes the iPhone 6 plus brought in UK Apple Store will work in everywhere on earth , it will work in america
