can I backup data from deleted apps in icloud?

I have few games I no longer play, so I want to delete the apps to free up some space. However I know that when I delete an app, the data is also deleted.

Currently the game is already backup in icloud. I want to delete it now, but worry once I delete it, the next backup will also erase the data of the deleted app because the app is no longer in the phone. I have turn on the back up for that app in manage storage under icloud.

No.

Once you delete an app from the device, any data associated with the app that was backed up is seen as no longer needed - and iCloud will recover the space to make it available for things that exist on the phone.

damn, so what are the ways to back up my saved games? like angry birds apps are all locally saved, can not be pulled from icloud if I want to install it again.
