weird virtual phone company email appeared in my iphone contacts. This would have to been added by my son or someone, right?

Not sure what you mean by virtual email address appearing but I would have to say that someone added it to the contact in the email field as that is usually how it gets there.

Doyou have a Facebook, LinkedIn or other social media account that you've given permission to access your contacts or to sync to your contacts? If so, that could be the reason you see that unfamiliar information listed.
