I am just noticing this. Some of my pictures are not in the recent and the only way I can get to them is go through the photos > years > collections etc...

My daughter's 5 is doing the same thing. She has well over 1000 pics, and only a couple hundred showing in albums view. Collections view shows a lot of pics, but I can't see any sort of total there (I rarely use that view - is there a way to see a count there?)

No iCloud photo folder either. Yeah that is a weird change. Lost some easy access to photos I had kept on my phone for specific reasons. Not sure what they were thinking.

What a mess! I can view my photos only via collections. My recently added folder only shows 4 photos (I had about 800 total)!!!

Maybe a update will bring camera roll back or have a option to use it or not.
Seems as if the recently added folder goes back 30 days.
I don't mind this new setup of older photos automatically moved.

Not really sure what everyone's referring to, my "collections" are neatly arranged by location (on the left) and date (on the right)

Pictures are all there & very easy to find or scroll through. 👍

I discovered this yesterday as well. At least I didn't lose any pics, but I don't care for the way they are arranged. Just something to get used to I guess.

I see some are upset but if you sit back and think about it. It makes sense if you use your photos in a recent manner

Collections was introduced in iOS 7 but no one ever used it much now we are complaining because we are forced to use it to go back in time but people like me that have been using it all along find this new folder system very refreshing

Another 'Photos' app issue...

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how events and faces are organized. Faces used to be alphabetical order, but now they are completely random. Same goes for events...used to be chronological, but not anymore.

Anyone else having this issue? Thanks.

I like the new photos set up. It seems recently added goes back 30 days or so. Previously photos that I took 6 months stayed in the camera roll now they are in section within photos from 6 months easier to get to for me. Even photos that I took or saved on Monday are easier to get to.
I like the recently deleted folder also that gives you 30 days for a permanent deletion.

Thanks, I did notice that, so glad they are there. Just will take some getting used to the 'Collections' view. Oh, and I have this other issue with not being able to see all of my pics when trying to upload to Facebook *sigh*.

What about Photos > Collections > select a photo in Collections > Hit share (lower left) and select Facebook > then select which FB album you want to upload to.
