I'm having a sync problem with the calendar app. It's probably been there for some time but I only just realized it:
The Calendar app is frequently not syncing with Gmail until I open it.
The reason I only just noticed it is because on the phone, I use Calendar 5 by Readdle, which syncs to GMail on its own. But the calendar on the iWatch connects to Calendar, and is not picking up changes to my calendar in a timely manner. If I then go to the phone's built-in Calendar app, it will show the old info at first, then it'll update to the new.
Syncing is set to fetch every 15 minutes, and some of these changes are not being reflected for over an hour. Yet other changes happen almost immediately.
The problem may be occurring mostly when I make a change myself rather than a pushed change from another source (I have multiple calendars through Google).

I'm reasonably sure that the problem is entirely on the iPhone and the sync with Google Calendar.
