Sometime ago i sort of remember a feature where a calendar entry could start in one country and end in another time zone

ie a flight

how do i do that ?

When you select the time in your event, you should see the time zone field appear. First set the start time.

Then, when you select the end time, it will suggest a time zone as well, which you can change manually. This will separate the time zones between the start and end times, allowing a multi zone event.
