Brightness on the X

There use to be a setting in iOS where you can lock in your brightness on your device but now it seems that my device regulates it on its own.

I prefer to keep it at full brightness but it doesn’t allow me to do so. It’s not an X issue per say because my GFs 7plus does the same thing but I never had that issue on any of my 4 inch iPhones and I’ve had them all

Just wondering what the members think about it or am I missing something???

In iOS 11, you can turn auto-brightness on or off in Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations.

I don't like max brightness because it's a drain on the battery and I'm afraid of burn-in on OLED displays. I'm not sure how tough the display is against burn-in, but I heard it's pretty good: Test shows how good iPhone X’s OLED screen is at preventing burn-in – BGR

I agree battery drain is an issue but I like a vivid and bright display when I’m using any device I own so I will take the good with the bad.

Thanks again for the link as it put my mind at ease on the burn in
