bought an iphone6s and have logged into my iCloud to download all my photos to my new phone!

Is iCloud safe to transfer to a new phone via logging into iCloud and restoring my old phone to factory settings? Will I lose the photos forever?

If your photos are backed up in iCloud, just set up the new phone and choose iCloud. Your photos should be there.
