Bootloader

Hi all. I recently jailbroke my 2g iphone with quickpwn. I did not install the bootloader files. Can anyone tell me what these are for? and should I go back and re-jailbreak for them? My phone seems to be working fine without them. Oh and I am running 2.1

The only reason you would need to use bootloader files is if you had to unlock your phone. If not, don't worry about it.
