Block "unknown" call

Is there any app that can block an "unknown" call?

Maybe miss understanding, but can't you just tap on recents, tap i with a circle and then tap block caller.

That won't work, because there's no number shown to block.

Correct. Maybe I need to go into my provider services and pay an extra 5 a month to block unknown calls. I figured there would be as app for that however.

No, but you could find out what that unknown number is next time it calls you if you use TrapCall and then you have a number to block.

I remember there being a phone option, maybe not on the iPhone, where you could prevent from unknown numbers getting through...or private numbers.

Usually when I get a call from a blocked number it shows up as unknown. Trap Call unmasks the blocked number for you so you know who's calling.

If it was that annoying as the OP suggests, I'd pay $20 just once to find out what the number is so I can block it then just cancel. I've spent money on sillier things like in-app purchases.

I was a longtime blackberry user( actually still am.....) so it's safe to say that on the blackberry ( 7 OS) there was such an app.

try the youmail application, its free and it has tons of options to block blocked callers, anonymous callers etc
