Also AFAIK iMessage will be attempted but if they person has no data then it sends as SMS text. Regardless of bite. That's how iMessage functions.

ive had an issue a few times with bite, where it doenst send an imessage automatically, i solved it by open default messaging app, and started the message, to "jumpstart" it into i message mode, then went back to using bite... i think its just a little bug and will be fixed by the time final is released, as always though post this on bite forum for martin to take a look at so he knows its happening, they are pretty awesome with fixing this stuff
