Hi all,
So i have some video files in .dat format in an external drive and trying to watch them on my MacBook Air. Quicktime can't play these files, so I was using VLC but i find this to be very unstable on the Mac - it is constantly crashing and i'm always getting the "spinning wheel of death". Its so bad that i have now deleted it.
I want to ask if anyone here can recommend another video player/app to use, preferably free only. Also, ideally do not want to convert the files into a format suitable for Quicktime, such as .mov.
Any recommendations?
