Best Firewire Backup Hard Disk?

The iMore forum recommends backing my Mac to two places, Apple Time Capsule for one, and a Firewire Hard Disk. So, what's the sweet spot (best value and performance) in a Firewire Hard Disk?

Welcome to iMore. Firewire external drives are readily available at any Best Buy for around $50 or slightly more. Many made by Seagate, Toshiba, Western Digital, just to name a few. Some can be even cheaper. All the ones I named are decent drives.
