Hello! So I use my iPhone 7 i just bought last month new as a white noise machine overnight using Spotify. I have been doing this for 3 years with my iPhone 5s but noticed that some mornings the new iPhone 7 did not charge at all overnight and is extremely hot. Why would the new seemingly better quality of phone do this when my old iPhone 5s was fine night after night for years?

Try a different cable?
I would assume it was getting hot, because you were running a intensive application.
