I am using a 64gb iPhone 6s on Verizon. I don't have the option to add the battery widget. Upgraded to 9.1 and it is still unavailable. Anyone else experiencing this? I no longer have my 6 or 5s to see if they have it available. Thanks.

I'm in the process of setting my iPhone 6 Plus as new after installing a fresh copy of iOS 9.1, and thus far, the battery widget is not available from what I can tell. It could be a glitch, but it could also be that they've removed the widget altogether. I always thought it to be redundant being that we can already see the battery percentage at the top of the screen, if the battery percentage option has been selected in the settings.

Welcom to iMore. ConGrats on your new 6s. I noticed this as well, but not sure why it's not showing or if it's for the AppleWatch? I use a app called "Widget" for my battery meter. It has a couple of different versions. ENJOY the site.

UPDATE: As you can see from the screenshot, the battery widget did re-appear on my iPhone 6 Plus after setting up my device as new and customizing the everything to my liking. Maybe it will re-appear on your device as well.

You have to have a Bluetooth or other device for it to show. Mine doesn't currently show because I don't have anything connected or paired.

Update: When I got home I turned on my Bluetooth headset. Now it shows on the battery widget.

I have an apple watch, iPhone 5s and no battery widget! It shows in the edit menu but won't show the actual battery left on the watch. Please help!

What happens when you tap on it in the edit menu? Is the watch paired with the phone?

Right.

On Notification Center, go all the way to the bottom, tap Edit, and add the battery widget. I don't believe it shows up by default.

It does show by default when there's a pairing. If it's not paired to anything it won't show on the today screen. It does still show in the "edit" section.

Here it shows in the top section but not on the today screen because it's not paired.
