A couple months ago, Verizon sent me a replacement iPhone 6 64 gb. Very quickly, my battery life has gotten terrible. 2/3 to 1/2 the use time of my old phone. Is there anything to do to improve this? Not really in a position for a new phone, but this is getting very difficult, especially if I have to be away from a power source.

Not really. Just keep in mind that screen brightness, push notifications, and location services are the big 3 battery users. If it gets too bad, you'll need to buy a new battery. They're about $80 at Apple stores. Others places sell them for around $50 installed.

If it was a Verizon warranty replacement the warranty on replacement devices is 90 Days or the remainder of the one year on the original device replaced. Whichever one is longer. So if the manufacturer warranty is out, but it's been less than 90 days since they replaced your phone you should be ok, and they should replace the phone.
