I have a mid 2010 MacBook Pro with MacOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. The cd/dvd slot is broken(grabber won't work), and i want to use BootCamp to install a Windows 7 partition. I have a valid copy of Windows 7, with the key code, but can't get the disc into the Mac. Since i have the key code, is there any other way to download Windows 7 on to the Mac using BootCamp? Thanks for any help.

Well i got the external drive, set it up, got bootcamp going, and WHAM. The bootcamp installer is telling me that my Windows 7 Home is really a Windows 10 disc in disguise. I know that it's a Windows 7, because i've used it before, and anyway it came from Microsoft and it says WINDOWS 7 Home right on the disc. Can i please get some help with this? Thanks.
