Backup question

I ended up having to restore from iCloud backup as I had to get my phone repaired. When I went to put in the verification code off my Mac it brought up my back up from earlier today, but it also brought up someone else in my household backups but she has a totally different icloud account. Why is that? We do use the same Mac with two user accounts on it

Hmmm, great question, but one I don’t really have an answer for. Unless the backup occurred under your login, I’d like to think it wouldn’t appear as an option for you. With that being said, let’s say it’s a glitch and if the both of you password-protect your backups then unless you knew the other person passcode, you wouldn’t be able to restore it.

Anyway, I would reach out to Apple Support regarding this matter and see what they have to say about it.
