Awful battery life of iPhone SE

I have awful battery life of iPhone SE. Maybe it was month and half ago when the phone was on 10% battery and it restarted twice and after that I had to put in on charger to wake it up. From this moment the phone started making bad things. After the update to the newest iOS version the phone started having awful battery life. If I am using it with GPS and camera battery for ex. goes directly from 56% to 53% within a minute.

I returned the phone to the service, but from there they said that the phone is OK. I don't now what to do. The phone is still in warranty. I am from European Country.

If I install an app it shows me that my battery is on 92%. I suppose that is a hardware problem, because my phone got really hot sometimes. I was listening to TuneIn Radio for 1-2 hours and it went from 30% to 4% percent and it was really hot.

iOS 10.3.3 was the last version that was any good. Every iteration of iOS 11 has killed the battery life for me. (I have one SE with 10.3.3 installed and I have another one with 11.2.5 and they both have the same exact configuration. Also, Google around and you will see complaints about battery life all over the forums.)

It’s hard to compare one to the other but my SE is on the latest beta and battery life is just fine. Maybe not as good but nothing to complain about.

I've got two suggestions; the first is just to take the phone into Apple and have them replace the battery. The second is to download the 11.3 beta, which now has the extra battery options. Under Battery in settings in 11.3, you can see the current health of the battery and what performance level your phone is set to (whether the phone is being throttled). Of course, if it shows the battery has lost capacity, you are likely back to the first option, take the phone to Apple and have them replace the battery.

I have returned back the phone to the service. But the service told me that the phone is OK. I see something disturbing.

Battery life. See that Messenger has 3 hours background activity. Is this normal?

I don’t know what messenger app that is but I would say no, it is not normal to use that much battery.
That was most likely your problem, not the phone. Apple is correct.

If you're on Facebook Messenger a lot, it wouldn't be unusual for it to use that much in relation to the other apps. Mostly what that shows is how much you use an app. If it's a high %, it may just mean you use it a lot. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a battery hog.

Yes, it's normal. Especially if you use it a lot. My Mail app runs in the background that much in a 24 hour period.

What does the beta battery health put your battery capacity at? Should have it if you aren on latest iOS update. Also try turning certain apps off in the background that you don’t use.
