Awaiting activation

I got my new iphone but I was wondering how long did it take you to activate it mine says Waiting for activation this may take some time.

Did it take awhile or did it happen right away?

i waited like 2 hours before i figured it out lol.You have to go to att.com/activations and accept the contract and stuff.

Mine did everything through iTunes

Yeah I had to do it through AT&T's site and agree to some stuff and once I did that it worked fine!

But my service now is TERRIBLE!! Worse then when I had the 3G!!

Had to call AT&T. Guess there was a feature on my 3GS that wasn't compatible with the iPhone 4.

My service has been isht all day and I still
have my 3GS. It started around noon this
afternoon. I can only get EDGE. I can't
wait until other carriers pick up the iPhone
so I can have my space back on AT&T. HA

Whatever is going on, it must be only affecting certain areas. I have had fast 3G all day long.

I have had great service from AT&T on the phone and my phone works perfectly.

for me, i signed up for a new att account on june 15th in order to get the new iphone. so all day today i had no service on my iphone and was just using the wifi to mess around. i talked to an att click to chat rep and she said i have to wait 3 to 5 days so att can activate my account online then i can activate the phone via itunes or whatever. hope this helps

did mine thru ATT Business Premier and it went smoothly, only thing is, after activation is COMPLETE, i waited about an hour so i decided to turn my device off and back on and it got my service running give it a shot
