Auto shut off of iPhone 4?

auto shut off of iphone 4 ?????

i was charged for 5 hours on a single phone call. I could have called that number at that time but usually only for 2 minutes. Could the connection have stayed on for 5 hours

It's possible, but unlikely, unless you frequently go numerous hours at a time without being on or checking your iPhone for notifications, etc., in my opinion.
