I am a new Iphone 4S owner on the Telus Networks, and being a long time Blackberry user, I have to admit that I'm now wondering why I haven't made the move before!!!

But there is one thing that bugs me a lot, since I am on the road a lot for my work, most of my calls are long distance. In my BB, there was a smart dialing option to add the +1 whenever needed.

I cannot find the equivalent in the Iphone, I called Apple support line (not helpful at all) And Telus didn't know either.

The option of going througt my contact list is not an option since I have well over 4000 contacts in the phone...

Is there an setting that I haven't seen, or an app for that???

It sounds like International Assist is what you're looking for, which is under settings-> phone. It's supposed to automatically add the country code when needed, but I have yet to use it. Hope this helps!
