audio wave file....as ringtone

I have always had a audio wave file as a ringtone on my iphone, put it on myself , but when itunes crashed on me, took all my music and created a damaged file, i had to re import my music back from that file, then i had to resync my iphone and lost my ring tone in the process.........anyways i got my ringtone sent to me via email and its a wave file. i used some re pro program to convert into mp3 (4) file but i have no idea how to rename the file to mvr..The file is now in my itunes library..where do i go to do that???is it in computers? i can right click the file got to info and change the name but it doesnt do anything.....also my new itunes does not have the ringtone folder anymore??? How do i import my file into the iphone if i don't have that folder?? this the ringtone i want to put back on my phone, could someone convert and send to me in the format i need? I also used ringtone recorder to get it so i wouldnt have to pay and sent it to myself, it worked the first time.

it has to be a m4r file. it's also not an mp3 file, it needs to be an aac formatted file

iRinger is the only way to go in making a ringtone, in my opinion. Works great for me.
