Audio messages show my email when "saved"

So I had someone sent me an audio message on text. They then accused me of saving it. Which I only played it. It seems there's some way it keeps it but I did not know that I saved it. Anyways on their end they showed me it shows "my email" saved audio message. I did not want to be giving out my email. Not sure if their is a way to turn this off so my email does not show up to others.

It was a voice message sent on a text.

Do you have that email address checked in Settings> Messages> Send and Receive, to receive text messages? If so, try unchecking the email address.

Yes I know when I upgraded my phone. Doing the transfer to start all my texts were messed up showing from email not #

Make sure your number is checked in Send and Receive.
