Are you using True Tone on your iphone?

I don't have true tone. But I use dark mode and night shift. That combo works well for me.

Annie, thank you very much, now I have identified and turned off the thing that was turning what should have been white drop downs into some of the most nauseating off whites/ pastel shades I have ever seen !

This is exactly why I don’t use it. To me, white should be white and not off white/ blend of white and yellow. I don’t stare at my phone enough to end up seeing the difference in eye strain.

I do the same for when I watch movies. People swear by warm1 and warm2 settings on their TV but even after forcing ourselves to use them for a while, we could not stand them.

As for night shift, that’s a no as well.

I too use both True Tone and Night Shift.

You won't. Your eyes will adjust to it. Turn it off and you'll notice it's off, then after a few hours you'll stop noticing that too - until you turn True Tone back on!
