Are there massive gains in performance after updating to 7.1?

It's definitely making my 5c seem snappier. It makes animations more fluid and the overall performance seems a bit improved.

I don't think the improvements are massive but they certainly quickened the pace at which the apps ran...

To me that is worth the price of admission.
