Are there many iPhone users that haven't updated their devices to iOS 11?

I can understand why iPad users would update, are there many iPhone users that haven't updated their devices to iOS 11?

I currently use the 7+ running 10.3.3 with the tvOS profile installed and I also have a 5s running 11.2.1. I genuinely do not like a few cosmetic changes to 11. Like the App Bar or big/bold app header font that shrinks when scrolled; why make it big to begin with.

I haven't dove into iOS 11 thoroughly just yet, but from what I've seen and use on a daily basis I am not entirely sold.

It seems iOS 11 was not adopted as fast as other iOSes, so what's preventing other holdouts from updating?

Re: iOS 11 Holdouts

iOS 11 was pretty buggy to start out with and there are still people who jailbreak. There will be a full public jailbreak for iOS 11.2.1 (I believe it’s 11.2.1) so you will probably see more people update then. You’re right though, iOS 11 has been adopted much slower than other versions and it probably be is because it was more of an incremental update for iPhones.

Re: iOS 11 Holdouts

The jailbreak is for 11.1.2 . There is no indication of a jailbreak for 11.2.1. In any case, I’ll be holding out for news about jailbreaks before updating the iOS version in future.

Right numbers wrong order ha ha. I haven’t jailbroken my iPhone in years. iOS has 95% of what I jailbroke for anyway.

I'm on iOS 10.1.1 with my 6s Plus. Originally I stayed there for "magic" wallpapers from a site that no longer worked past 10.1.1. Then Apple disabled 32 bit apps in iOS 11. I have several I use and like that I can't find suitable replacements for.

I’ve been running iOS 11.2.5 on my 7 Plus for awhile, and it’s great! I’m actually quite surprised at how smooth it runs iOS 11 hahaha!

I'm still running iOS 10.3.3 and have great appreciation for it vs 11. Testing iOS 12 and so far it's better than 11, but I'm still concerned with who Apple is building the future of iOS for.

I know what you mean. It does 'seem' as if Apple's focus is on the Millennial user base.

The FaceTime comment is priceless:

I think you mean Face ID, not FaceTime.

If the Note 9’s Intelligent scan is anything like the Galaxy S 9, it won’t be more secure than Face ID. The S 9 uses a regular camera 2D camera image, unlike Face ID’s 3D camera and depth sensor, and doesn’t allow use with Samsung Pay.

No, FaceTime with 32 people. "Why would I ever want to do that?"
