Are iPhones coming preloaded with 2.1?

So if one buys the iPhone this weekend, will it come loaded with the 2.1 update? If not, when do you think it will?

I bought one on Thursday and it didn't even have 2.02 on it. I would say it will be weeks before they have 2.1. Good news is Thursday night I upgraded to 2.02 and Friday I upgraded to 2.1. It all worked perfectly.

why is this a concern? Trust me, you'll be putting on a new patch soon enough no matter when you buy it. Doing restores, etc.

True, it shouldn't be a concern. Every iPhone I've bought has never been up to date in terms of firmware when I've bought them.

I picked up a 3G on Wednesday and it came preloaded with 2.1
