Are Apple leather cases made from real leather?

I wonder if the Apple cases are made from a real leather, saw one on a friend's iphone
thought maybe to buy one for myself.
Is the case made of a real leather material, animal? (i'm vegetarian)

It's real leather. It feels great!

Yes, it's real leather. It's a bit slippery at first, but with a week or so of use, it develops a softness & "patina" that feels perfect.
