Apps not updating

Hey all, i recently bought a new iphone 5s (totally new, not jailbreaked,not refurbished) and it is amazing. I recently updated it to IOS 9.3.1 and had no problems but for the past couple of days I'm unable to update my apps. The notification comes but when i open appstore and select update the 'update' icon quickly changer to 'opem' and thus i am unable to update the apps. Is anyone else facing this problem and i hope any of you have some solutions to this. Thank you.

Check to see if rebooting your new iPhone will correct the problem. If not, Sing out of the iTunes & App Store, and then sign back in.

Make sure your wifi signal is strong.
If the above suggestions don't help, try going to Settings > General > Usage > Manage storage > scroll down to the App > Tap on the app > Tap delete. Then go to the screen and delete the app there, if necessary. Then go back to the App Store and download the app back.
