Apple Watch Ultra faulty

Has anyone else experienced really poor battery life on the Ultra. Charged it up to full capacity last night at 11pm, and it’s now 5:35 and watch is on 7 per cent. I haven’t used it for anything other than checking the time a few times since.

The battery is far worse than my Series 7.

I called Apple and their aftercare customer service is, once again, appalling. Sending back for a refund.

6 hour battery life is not normal, even for a just installed Apple Watch.

I would bring it to the Apple Store to have it checked (and possibly exchanged).

To bring it to the Apple Store is a bit excessive.
First start with turning the watch off and on again.
If that doesn’t help, then go back to the Apple Store.

That’s a good idea. It didn’t even cross my mind

Was it set up as new or a backup restored?
I'd try setting it up as new and see if the battery life is poor.
If battery life is normal/good then the watch is fine, there is something running and draining battery.

I charged mine to full this morning. So far, down about 10% after about 10 hours.

Another data point - In 7.5 hour with fairly heavy use (103 minutes exercise w/ audiobook), I'm at 77%.
