I have the Apple Watch series 2, which I wear with the Milanese loop strap. Have just read today that the Milanese loop is not waterproof! I would have assumed that all stainless steel straps would be waterproof. I wore my previous stainless strap for 20 years and never took it off.
I have not found any explanation for Apple saying that the Milanese loop is not waterproof. Can you explain?

Hello there,

Where did you read that the milanese loop is not waterproof? as I understand it is, also heard that from people that have it. But it is always recommended to have a sports bands more for comfort.

Anyways, be happy as far as I know it is waterproof.

Have a good day.

Doesn't the Milanese Loop clasp depend on a magnet? If so, then the loop is not made of high quality stainless, which does not work with magnets. The lower quality stainless could develop rust, which is why it may be labelled as not waterproof.
