I'm not surprised. Also, I read an article not long ago about Apple trying to dissuade people from waiting in long lines during a launch or something to that effect, but I can't remember where I read it.

yeah I don't know why crowds would have been expected since you can't buy until the 24th in-store. now when that day comes it'll be interesting to see how many people line up despite the low store inventory warnings.

Not surprised at all since you can't buy it in store, most people won't take time out of the day just to go "play" with one.

Yeah, crowds seemed thin in ATL as well. I went to mall and was able to sit down with a rep and try on the watches. It took about 7 min to get seated, this was at about 2:30 04/10/15.

I was at my local Apple Store in the UK yesterday and it seemed no more busy than usual. There were people around the  Watch displays, but to compensate, the Genius bar area was much quieter than usual, so in total there were probably no more than you would normally expect in the store.
