Has Apple settled with Masimo in reference the latter's patent infringement claim?

As far as I know, they have not.

If anyone knows where to get those court documents and understand them, they would be able to confirm or infirm what I just wrote.

I suspect this will go through the entire USA judicial process.

They have not. So far the Masimo patent has not been overturned and Apple has appealed the ruling based on their contention that Masimo's remaining patent(s) are invalid.

Honestly I wonder if it would probably be cheaper for Apple to buy Masimo or license the technology. Masimo says that they haven't even discussed licensing or cross-licensing with Apple.

It’s status quo. If you lived in an area where the sensor was unavailable yesterday, it continues to be unavailable today.

The tech specs compare page is very useful for this.

The Canadian Apple Watch Series 9 has the sensor, as does the Series 10.


The USA Apple Watch Series 9 does not have the sensor, same for the Series 10.

If I was in the US, I would just pick up an Apple Watch from Canada or somewhere in Europe.

It’s status quo. If you lived in an area where the sensor was unavailable yesterday, it continues to be unavailable today.

I talked to Apple on Tuesday. you are correct the blood oxygen measurements are still not available on the new Apple Watches 10 and new Ultra 2.
