Apple TV and other services

I currently don't own an Apple TV but do use several chrome cast around the house. I have purchased and rent movies from the google play store so would I be able to access that content. I know there is a Play movies app on the iPhone but what about on the new Apple TV? Will that get on since it will be tuning a form of iOS?

The only way to play Google content to an AppleTV would be for a Google app on an iPad or iPhone to be able to AirPlay material from the GooglePlay Store to the AppleTV.
