Apple is reportedly slashing its iPhone SE output as slow sales mean stocks aren't selling through as expected.

Kudos to Imore for at least putting in “reportedly” in the headline. I noticed some headlines “Apple slashing iPhone SE production” without a qualifier.
FYI, IPhone 12 production is being slashed. iPhone 13 production being slashed. Both repeated ad nauseam in media as if it were fact, both causing the stock to drop, both wrong. And those aren’t the only examples just in the last 14 months. But I guess if you just repeat rumor enough times, you’re bound to be right eventually — oh wait, the clicks make it right in their own way.

Looking at the poll results, most people who want an iPhone want something more capable than the SE. Surprisingly few people are interested in upgrading from an older iPhone. Part of that is probably because the outdated design – we don’t mean just the looks, but having a screen that’s barely above HD resolution and a single camera is a tough sell these days, even for a “cheap” phone.
