I currently have a 5s that doesn't support Apple Pay but planning on getting the New iPhone 7. Does your bank have to support Apple Pay before you can use it or can you use it regardless

Yes, i do believe the bank and Apple have to come to a certain terms and conditions for Apple to support that bank. But Apple has added a bunch of banks thus far and continues to do so from all over the world (mayor banks at least) so maybe yours is supported.

Honestly I think it would be more likely for regional banks to support Apple Pay to stay current. Major banks have the option to hold out for a while. In short as others have said, yes your bank must support Apple Pay before you can use it.

If you called your bank, they'd be able to tell you. My bank only has 5 branches and they support it so you might be surprised.

If your bank participates, you would most likely receive an email from them. Or call them.
Just used mine this morning.
