Apple Music Volume Slider on Lock Screen

Has anyone else experienced issues with adjusting volume slider on the lock screen? Every time I go to make a change to volume I hit Pause, Forward , or Backwards because the volume slider is too close to the buttons.

I've experienced this a few times, but since I know this, I'm more careful when using that slider.
