Sooooo if Google Maps is King then why does the headline give the impression that Apple Maps is?

The combined efforts by Amazon, Meta and Microsoft would be bring competition to Google Maps unless the author is conceding that Google Maps is unbeatable.

For everyone else microsoft, meta, and Amazon will siphon google maps users

I don’t see any need for yet another map app. What I would like is a simple one ! which I can guarantee the consortium map won’t be.
The option to turn everything off apart from navigation instructions, would be great.
