I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find a previous thread.

I have never subscribed to Apple Music. I have also luckily never had a problem with iTunes or my Music.

However, a few days ago, I upgraded to the iPhone 8 Plus. After adding music, I noticed that some songs in albums were not playing.

Instead I am greeted with a pop up window asking me to subscribe to Apple Music and receive 3 months free.

I click on the "Not Now" tab and it goes away, however, the songs still won't play. Every time you click on one, the Apple Music Page appears.

This is music that I have already purchased and downloaded to my computer from iTunes.

I know the benefits of Apple Music, but just not ready to pay a monthly fee.

Is there some way around this as I am not able to listen to the music on my iPhone? I can listen to the music on my Macbook just fine.

I haven’t heard of that particular issue, do you sync your music with a usb cable? I can look into this though I can’t guarantee I’ll have an answer today.

On your iPhone 8, go to Settings > Music and toggle off Show Apple Music.
And in that same screen, if iCloud Music Library is enabled, disable that one too.
This will stop the pop up from appearing again.
